Ford NP205 rebuild
I am getting to the end of the doubler builder series. I decided to rebuild my Ford NP205 to do some minor upgrades, a shave, and some general maintenance. My case was built in 1977, so it was due for a rebuild. **Warning** This is a longer video based on the level of detail I try to show.

NP241c teardown for NWF Ecobox build

I am building a DIY Ecobox from NWF (NorthWest Fab) and needed to harvest some parts for it. My donor for the gear reduction is a Np241c out of a Chevy because of the 6 pinion planetary gear set and because of the availability of the case. The flat snap ring pliers I used. amzn.to/44ZJMx3

@@renosgarage7451 it would be cool. The other side of it is that the owner is a really good welder. Almost robotic.

You have the constantly rushed warehouse workers, that have to keep up with rate, to thank for that, not the actual drivers themselves. This is the result of having to package things at a high rate of speed without really having time to consider what might actually happen to the item if packaged in said packaging material during transit. Fragile item gets tossed into tote with other heavy ass items, possibly crushed, and as a delivery driver, your manger still expects you to deliver it, so they don’t get flack from their higher ups. When I see this, I take a picture with my personal for proof, then mark it as damaged, and move on to the next stop. It’ll have to be returned, and they’ll have to try again the next day. It sucks, but this is what happens when the warehouse is poorly operated, mismanaged, and rushes everybody in there to get those packages out the door.

Looking forward to seeing you get this in FM. This is on my list of 'maybe one day projects'. What is the benefit of the shiny bits from NWF? Purely aesthetic? Or do they serve a function? I'm cheap and trying to see where I can save a nickel.
Hi Ben, I have been told that these bits do offer a strength advantage. However, the 205 is most likely fine without these NWF pieces. Especially if you are 300hp or less.

Im using the 241 as a reduction box. So you have some of the parts. Wheel the 241 for a while. It will be fine.

Air Separator Regulator? How does that work do I need to do anything to it?
@@darrellatx the air separator removes the moisture out of the air coming through the machine. It prolongs the consumables. The regulator controls the air flow . You have to balance the air flow and the volts to the thickness of metal so you can get a clean cut .

Hi...can you put the fuel pump fuel line onto the hard line without having to remove the tank ?
@@nordland2235 you could. You might what to see if there is a flare or something to prevent the hose and clamp from coming off. If not, you could run it. Maybe double up on the clamps on both sides. But I would suggest getting the actual replacement for the long term.
Well, since I’m not a mechanic worth his salt 🙄, this would have saved me a ton of time and frustration while working on my ‘99 Jeep XJ.
My fuel line broke between the fuel pump and the aluminum hard line....someone cobbled it and none of the fittings are still there....any idea what I should do...its a 97 tj with 6 lift...good shape accpt the line from the tank to the aluminum....any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@nordland2235 I believe most times companies have some type of a flexible line between the hard line on the frame and the fuel pump. I can't remember if there was a Teflon line that span that Gap. It's a flexible hose that has the fittings for both ends.

No mechanic worth his salt would ever use one of those. Looks like a handy gauge for someone with a new Harbor Freight tool set though.
Why eyeball it? Because that's what separates the ones who have learned and the ones that need to learn.
Always check the nut size too, sometimes it’s different
